You've written a story, you've had feedback both good and bad, revised it, and now you want to publish it. But you want to make sure the finished product is its absolute best. Using a freelance editor as a second pair of eyes will pick up anything you may have missed.
I will go over the text word by word, comma by comma and full stop by full stop. I will make sure everything is spelled correctly and makes grammatical sense; that characters don't change name or eye-colour mid-paragraph; that the magic system is used according to its rules (and that it has rules), and that plot holes get plugged!
I have always loved the English language. Between 2005 and 2014 while living in Australia, I ran a freelance editing and proof-reading business with modest success until returning to the UK. My dragon logo came about because I started the business while living in the tropics, and I was born in the year of the Dragon.
I have a Diploma of Professional Writing (Professional Editing & Proof-Reading) from the Australian College of Journalism. I am a member of the SfEP.
I specialise in fiction but will tackle anything from restaurant menus to ESL uni student assignments.
